Kara came to Boise State in 2000 from a nationally ranked Service-Learning program at the University of Utah. She brings over fifteen years of experience consulting with faculty, students, and community agencies. Kara earned her bachelor’s degree from Macalester College in Minnesota and her master’s degree in Communication from the University of Utah.

Anna joins the Service-Learning Program after three years of instruction in Boise State’s Foundational Studies Program and for the Department of History. She concurrently teaches University Foundations 200 in addition to her role in Service-Learning. Anna earned a PhD in American History from the University of Washington.

Brooke is currently working on her Master's Degree in Social Work. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Science with an emphasis in Psychology and Sociology. Brooke really appreciates having the opportunity to go out into the community. She enjoys meeting with various community partners in order to learn about different programs within agencies, and opportunities for service-learning students.

Hayley is currently working towards her Master’s Degree in Social Work. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English from University of California, Berkeley. She comes to Boise State after years of tutoring, mentoring, and recruiting, experiences which aid her in connecting work-study students to quality positions with local community partners.

Duties: Serves as liaison among students, faculty, community partners, and SL staff. Help students understand Service-Learning (SL) concepts, procedures, and requirements. Support students in SL placement, orientation, troubleshooting, and maximizing learning.
Melodie is currently a junior at Boise State University, working toward a B.A. in Education. She has joined the Service-Learning department with the goal of making a positive contribution to the student community of Boise State University, helping students connect with their community, and providing awareness to community needs.

Duties: Compose Service-Learning stories, design and execute communication outreach campaigns, manage social media accounts, advocate for Service-Learning in various discourses
Addie is a senior in English writing, rhetoric, and composition. She composes Service-Learning stories for the program’s communication outreach plan and applies course knowledge to make rhetorical language and organization choices based on the program’s different communication channels and audiences.

Breanna Tindall is a Sophomore at Boise State and is working towards a B. A. in Elementary Education. She joined the Service Learning Department because she wanted to hep students make a difference in her community and the lives of her fellow students.
