Optional SL Designation

Sign up for Transcript Distinction!

Students can sign up for a transcript distinction if they are in a class that offers a service-learning option (check the course syllabus). To get the distinction, students can choose the “Take Requirement Designation” box when registering for a course (or after registering for a course, until the end of the 9th week). No additional cost or credit is accrued.

How to add or remove Service-Learning Option designation during the semester

  1. Log into my.boisestate.edu. From the student home page click, “Class Search Enrollment“.
  2. Click, “Update Class”
  3. Select the class you are updating by clicking the “chevron” or anywhere in the box.
  4. Here is the page where you check the box “Take Requirement Designation” then click, “Accept”.
  5. You can review your selection before submission and you will receive a message whether or not the change has taken place

  1. Log into my.boisestate.edu. From the student home page click, “Class Search Enrollment“.
  2. Click, “Class Search and Enroll” and type the class you are looking to enroll in the search box.
  3. Click the ” > “ or anywhere in the class section box.
  4. Review the selection and click, “Next”.
  5. Here is the page where you check the box “Take Requirement Designation” and click, “Accept”.
  6. Click, “Enroll” and “Next”.
  7. On the following page under “Class Preferences” the student will receive confirmation that they have selected the requirement designation.
